How it works
A quieter way to feel understood.
Here's the whole thing, start to finish. You're anonymous from the first step, and a way to reach a professional is built in.
- 01Step 01
Tell us what's going on
Say what you're dealing with, in your own words. Burnout, anxiety, grief, loneliness, a rough patch in a relationship, new parenthood, a health scare, or something you can't quite name. No real name required, and no pressure to get it all out at once.
We only ask for what helps us find a good match. Your identity isn't part of that.
- 02Step 02
Meet someone who gets it
We connect you with people facing something similar, based on your situation rather than who you are. You stay anonymous, and you choose who you actually talk to.
Matched on what you're facing, not who you are. Decline a match or step away whenever.
- 03Step 03
Agree to the same rules
Before anyone connects, they read and sign the same community rules. Knowing everyone agreed to them is a big part of what makes this a place you can actually be honest.
Everyone signs the same rules. No exceptions.
- 04Step 04
Talk it through, at your pace
Open up when you're ready. Keep a private journal on the side, and use your digital card to connect with people in real life on your own terms.
Your journal is private. It's for you, not for matching or sharing.
- 05Step 05
Reach a professional when you need one
When peer support isn't enough, a licensed professional is one tap away. One thing to be clear about: mPathy isn't a crisis line. If you're in immediate danger, call 911 or visit Crisis support.
Peer support has limits. We're honest about that, and we hand off with care.
